As the holiday season approaches, it’s time to look at the things in your life for which you’re grateful. Specifically, starting at home. Dina of This Marriage Thing created the Gratitude Project (it actually started on Sunday so we’re a day behind).
The principle is this, for the next 10 days, say thank you to your spouse 3 or more times per day for something they contribute to your life. You know there is something they add, so tell them. To up the ante a bit, take the time to notice the little things they add, not simply the obvious ones.
As you go through the next 10 days being grateful, keep track of what happens and share your experiences in the comments below. At the conclusion of the project, the comments will be gathered from all the participating blogs and a round-up will be posted.
In the spirit of this project, I’d like to take a moment and thank you my loyal readers for making Simple Marriages what it is today. You are extremely awesome! Thanks.
Off you go to say thanks. Please let us know how it goes.
